This project originated from a meeting between Bruno Dorella, a multi-talented musician, Francesco Mazza, a great music lover, and Pietro Leemann.
The starting point was to create a musical environment within the Joia restaurant.
Each place is often imbued with melodies that evoke certain moods in listeners, which differ according to the type of music played ̶ for instance, classical or hard rock.
If we are walking through a forest, the sounds we hear do not change how we feel.
Evocative sounds linked to memories, for instance, our favourite singer at a certain period of our lives, symbols such as the sound of bells, emotions like a mantra recited in a Buddhist monastery, are also very inspiring.
These observations led to a different, simple, yet revolutionary approach for implementing our music project: we created a background of musical notes, emblematic sounds that do not distract Joia’s guests from their conversations. Our aim was to allow people to fully enjoy both the setting and our cuisine, while creating a harmonious experience.
Bruno was thrilled and dived right into the project. He went to record the sounds of the valleys in the area where Pietro lives, as well as those on the beaches and in the countryside of his native Ravenna. He then shut himself up in a recording studio and added masterly notes and precious symbols.
This is how SINFONIETTA took shape, a truly novel idea that helped to respect and achieve the subtle feeling of harmony that you experience in the restaurant. ristorante.
